To celebrate MLK Day, elementary students helped create a 15-foot-tall drawing of Martin Luther King Jr. during their art classes this past week. Each student was able to contribute something to the drawing, with each of their pieces being attached to the larger piece.
“It’s going to be amazing,” said Ashley Lorusso, elementary art teacher.
Based on the book Love Will See You Through by Angela Farris Watkins, the students explored the six guiding beliefs of MLK.
The piece is currently displayed in the great room to be the centerpiece of the MLK Day celebration and events.
